Good Grief!

I was having a really productive day yesterday. Clean a little, rest a little, etc. I was bringing the wheelchair down the front step to go get Isaac from school and I dropped my keys. I "bent" over to retrieve them and I heard a loud pop. I straightened up and felt a horrible pain in my back. I sucked it up and collected Isaac, but I didn't move from the couch once I got back.

Last night I took an extra anti-inflammatory before bed in hopes I'd be better in the morning. Mike's theory is that the only thing that would give, my rib, did. Oops. Well, getting a good night's sleep went right out the window when I woke up to my name being called at 2:30am. I got up, opened Riley's door and lead the way to the bathroom.

She was carrying the bowl from her bedroom potty, but it wasn't very full. Awesome, a pee spill to clean up at 2 in the morning with an injured back. At least she tried. Once the potty was reassembled and the floor mopped I went to tuck Riley back in and her bed. It was wet! Where did she get enough to go in the potty (and spill all over the title) and in the bed? Sheesh.

Sometime before 3am we were both back to bed. This morning I got up a little stiff and sore, but optimistic. I was walking with Riley toward the living room at 7am and I went down. I'm not sure if I tripped over my own feet or what, but I fell wrong. All my weight went on to my right foot weird. I screamed and started to cry. It really scared the kids. Mike carried me to the couch where I watched my toes swell up.

While I was on the couch giving myself a minute to recover Riley peed on the floor. She didn't make any attempt to go to the bathroom just announced "pee-pee" and went. Like a puppy. Regression? Oy. What's going on? Clearly, I'm not supposed to leave the house or clean the kitchen today. It's obvious Riley's gonna need some extra attention. I just hope we can get through it without aggravating my injuries.
