Mike was still pretty sick on Father's Day so I juggled the kids and getting the house ready for company by myself. In the afternoon when he emerged to make a store run the kids presented him with his cards. It was a father's day brought you by puns!
Riley's card was a fish on a fishing pole that said "I'm hooked on you, Daddy!" accompanied with a canister of snack mix she and her friends mixed up at school that was decorated with her watercolor painting.
Isaac and I had a long talk about appropriate things to say in a Father's Day card and puns before he made his card. He drew a laptop and wrote "you're too nice tuu compute" With a drop down offering spelling options for "tuu" to illustrate the in-compute-able-ness.
After cards and such Mike dragged himself to the store to get steaks to grill for our Father's Day company. It was sooooo good. I vote for a new tradition! Yum.
Seriously, these appreciation holidays get better every year.
