Also, before I get too cocky: I admit to being the idiot who made an 8am appt across town and no arrangements for Miss Roo. The Ortho's new scheduling lady wasn't in so I don't have a date, but we're yanking some screws. He said it's "no big deal" and "if I insisted" he could do it "day surgery" (no overnight admission). When I asked about weight bearing he said there are no restrictions. I'm relieved, but at the same time...last time they took hardware out my back broke. I'm sure in more capapble hands that kind of thing is less likely, but it's hard to shake.
