Laundry has been mission impossible since my back surgery in May (not that it was ever easy). I have relied on friends and relatives to wash loads for me and Mike and the kids to put the clean clothes away. Everything was moving along until 3weeks ago or so. My mom came over and put a load in and then went out to check it and it was full of water.
Mike drained the water with his air compressor somehow and finished the load. After a while we tried again. That load didn't drain either. Mike drained it again. It went on like this for weeks. Finally Monday he took the sucker apart to see if there was something stuck in the pump.
BINGO!
Yup, that's Riley's heart shaped baby's first Valentines Day bib wound up in there. Pretty impressive. I guess small oddly shaped bibs should go through in a mesh bag. Oh well.
A valiant, sacrificial effort by the bib -- meant to save individual socks from being eaten by the beast!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a broken washer. We had a pool of water issue for a few weeks and Greg nearly went over the edge.
Yeah, I suppose a more fitting title would have been drowning in the many mounds of dirty laundry. Three weeks is forever in a family of four.
ReplyDeleteWoW! Aren't you glad Mike is so handy??-Aimee
